Hofstra University’s FORM Student Gallery in Calkins Hall, South Campus, presents an exhibition of portraits and oil on canvas titled #DOPEART2 by Henry Fuller ’15. Fuller, who hails from Roosevelt, NY, is a fine arts major, with a concentration in painting.
Fuller says he work is largely inspired by pop culture. “I enjoy doing portraits of all celebrities – musicians, actors, superheroes and athletes. The thought process behind all my paintings is to paint a portrait of someone who’s in the public eye, someone who would make you do a double take and catch your interest enough that you would want to see the rest of my work.”
#DOPEART2 opens on Monday, March 24, 2014, with a reception and refreshments at 6 p.m. The show will be on display through Friday, March 28.
Admission is free and open to the public. Viewing hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For more information call the Department of Fine Arts Design and Art History at 516-463-5474.
