The summer of 2013 brings a pair of major facility upgrades at Hofstra as the turf at the Hofstra Soccer Stadium and the infield turf at University Field (baseball) are being replaced to provide our student-athletes with brand-new state-of-the-art playing surfaces.
These two complexes are the second and third facilities on the Hofstra campus to receive new turfs this academic year as James M. Shuart Stadium was outfitted with a brand-new FieldTurf Revolution surface in the fall.
The LandTek Group, Inc. of Amityville, New York is overseeing the installation of both projects, which began earlier this week.
Both playing surfaces will be using a FieldTurf product and are estimated to be completed by the end of June.
This will complete a total enhancement of all of our artificial fields with state-of-the-art surfaces.
