Hofstra Law Mourns the Loss of Professor Lawrence W. Kessler

The Hofstra Law community is saddened by the passing of Lawrence W. Kessler, the Richard J. Cardali Distinguished Professor of Trial Advocacy.
Professor Kessler taught at Hofstra Law for 43 years and was director of the Law School’s E. David Woycik, Jr. Intensive Trial Techniques Program for almost 20 years.
A nationally recognized expert in the field of trial advocacy training, he was the director of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy’s (NITA) Master Advocates’ Program, the co-director of NITA’s Northeast Regional Program, and a team leader and teacher in Advocacy Teacher Training and Trial Advocacy courses at law schools and agencies throughout the country.
