Dr. Bob Brinkmann – Sinkhole at Mar-a-Lago?

Huffington Post

Dr. Bob Brinkmann, Vice Provost for Scholarship and Engagement, Associate Dean of Graduate Studies, Professor of Geology, Environment, and Sustainability and an expert on sinkholes, wrote a blog for Huffington Post on an apparent sinkhole that reportedly opened up on the Mar-a-Lago property. Dr. Brinkmann explains that this appears to be the result of a collapsed stormwater pipe, as reported by the Palm Beach Daily News, and not a geologic sinkhole. Either way, the incident is another example of deteriorating infrastructure in this country that desperately needs to be addressed.
