An intrepid group of Hofstra students and professors left New York on January 8 to spend a magical two and a half weeks in Venice. This popular study abroad program runs annually to give students an opportunity to learn about the Italian culture, make new friendships, and earn three credits. The Hofstra in Venice program, directed by Professors Maria Fixell, is offered by Hofstra College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and the Department of Romance Languages and Literature. This year classes are being offered in Public Relations, Marketing, International Business, Art History, Comparative Literature, History, and Italian 3.
Follow the students’ blog, which they will be updating regularly, to see photos and read about their time abroad.
