Dr. Julie Byrne’s Book Tour Goes to Boston, Dec. 17

Dr. Julie Byrne, Hofstra’s Monsignor Thomas J. Hartman Endowed Chair in Catholic Studies, is continuing her press and book tour to promote The Other Catholics: Remaking America’s Largest Religion (Columbia University Press), which shares the remarkable history and current activity of independent Catholics, who number at least two hundred communities and a million members across the United States.

Dr. Byrne will make an appearance on Saturday, December 17, 3-5 p.m. at the Church of the Open Word, located at 11 Highland Avenue, in Newtonville, MA.  The talk is presented by the Holy Spirit Catholic Community of the Ecumenical Catholic Communion.
