WRHU To Air Fall Sports Preview Show On Thursday

WRHU, Radio Hofstra University (88.7 FM), the official home for Hofstra sports, will host its annual Fall Sports Preview Show on Thursday (August 18) evening from 6 p.m.-12 a.m.

WRHU, named the top college radio station in the United States by The Princeton Review and a recipient of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Marconi Radio Award as the top non-commercial radio station in the country, hosts preview shows three times a year in advance of each season on the Pride athletic calendar.

The preview show can be heard worldwide via the Pride Productions portal, WRHU.org, the WRHU app and locally on 88.7 FM.

The six-hour show will feature an hour each on field hockey, men’s soccer, volleyball and women’s soccer. The final hour of the show will include general discussions about the teams and predictions from the WRHU staff. The first hour of the show will be WRHU’s The Locker Room, hosted by Joe Barone and Gio Annatelli.

Men’s Soccer will air in the 7 p.m. hour and include interviews with Head Coach Richard Nuttall, along with student-athletes Joseph Holland and Harri Hawkins. This segment will be hosted by Nick Valastro and Matt Durant.

Next up is women’s soccer as WRHU welcomes in Head Coach Simon Riddiough and student-athletesJill Mulholland and Emily Agudelo for interviews. The women’s soccer hour will be hosted by Connor Giblin and Kyle Kandetzki.

In the 9 p.m. hour it is the Volleyball team’s turn as Head Coach Emily Mansur and student-athletesHannah Klemm and Veronika Kostova chat with the WRHU crew. Tiffany Vellis and Bryan Clark will host the volleyball hour.

Field Hockey will close the individual sports hours with Head Coach Kathy De Angelis and student-athletes Claudia Marin Samper and Stella Schoen being the interviews. Hosting the field hockey hour will be Ryan LaFaye and Stephanie Ruscio.
