Memoirist Dani Shapiro Closes Great Writers Spring Season

Hofstra’s annual Great Writers, Great Readings Series wraps up the spring 2016 semester with author Dani Shapiro on Monday, April 11, 2016, at 7 p.m. Location is the Guthart Theater, first floor, Axinn Library, South Campus. 

Shapiro’s most recent memoirs are the bestselling Still Writing: the Perils and Pleasures of a Creative Life, Devotion, and Slow Motion.  Her five novels include Black & White and Family History.  Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, Granta, Tin House, n+1, Ploughshares, One Story, Electric Literature, The Virginia Quarterly Review, The New York Times Book Review, The New York Times Op-Ed, and many other publications, and has been broadcast on This American Life.

Great Writers, Great Readings is sponsored by the English Department and the MFA in Creative Writing Program. Events are free and open to the public.
