FORM Gallery Presents “Bizarre Infusion” by Brandi Ellen Kinard

Hofstra University’s FORM student gallery in Calkins Hall, South Campus, presents Bizarre Infusion by Brandi Ellen Kinard through March 24, 2016. A sophomore from Charlotte, NY, Kinard is majoring in both Biomedical Engineering and Fine Arts, where she is concentrating in painting. There will be a reception for Bizarre Infusion on Tuesday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m.

Kinard says, “The paintings on display are experimental and outrageous compositions, comprised of bizarre fashion images, manipulated by optical perception and a bold color palette. They create obscure points of view that consume and invade the space of my viewers, figuratively and literally.”

She adds that the inspiration for the works came from her “fascination with fashion magazines.”

The FORM Gallery is located on the first floor of Calkins Hall, South Campus. Admission is free and open to the public.  For more information call the Department of Fine Arts, Design, Art History at 516-463-5474.
