Volume by Marco, a first-year student, features five works from her moleskin notebook. “My inspiration for these pieces came from looking deeper into how music effects my imagination. For each piece I created a playlist, which I listened to while drawing. After I was finished I was able to recognize the music I was listening to in each piece I did, whether it was through my reaction to the lyrics or my interpretation of the melodies and tunes.”

Schmelter, a senior television/video major, describes her collection, Present, as “casual, spontaneous and genuine.” More than 100 small photos make up her part of the show. “This has kind of been a passion project of mine. I have always loved taking polaroids and instant pictures.”
