Health Science School of Health Professions and Human Services Standout Student Student Life

Standout Student: Tyler Bartholomew

Tyler Bartholomew ’16 is a senior majoring in health science and minoring in biochemistry. He is the vice president of Hofstra Rotaract, a Rotary-Sponsored service club that raises money for local and global health-related charities and helps to promote overall wellness to the surrounding community. He is also a member of the Association of Pre-Professional Health-Oriented Students, which he joined his sophomore year to help prepare him on his journey toward medical school. Tyler will be traveling on a medical outreach trip to Panama this winter with Volunteers Around the World. He currently interns at a pediatric practice on Long Island and aspires to earn his dual MD/MPH degree and work as a public health physician and help “transform the idea of treatment into prevention.”
