ESPN Host Tackles Sports Media Q&A – Nov. 12

The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication welcomes ESPN sports talk radio host Dave Rothenberg to campus for an evening of conversation and Q&A on Thursday, Nov. 12 at 5:30 PM in the Herbert School NewsHub. Seating is limited; RSVP is required at herbertschool360.com/sportsmedia.

Rothenberg co-hosts “Ruocco & Rothenberg” on ESPN New York 98.7 FM weekdays from noon to 1 pm.  He previously co-hosted the morning drive show on 99.9 FM The Fan in Raleigh, North Carolina, helping make it the number one sports talk show in the region.

He has hosted sports talk programs, worked as a play-by-play announcer for basketball and hockey and a color commentator for football and basketball, and interviewed players and coaches, among other responsibilities.

The talk is the latest in the Herbert Insiders speaker series, which was established in 2014 and brings distinguished graduates and guests back to campus to meet with current and prospective students interested in communication careers.  The series’ first speaker was Lance Ulanoff ‘86, chief correspondent and editor-at-large of Mashable.com.

Herbert Insiders is made possible with the support of the Herbert School’s Advisory Council, Alumni Association, and friends.
