In its first exhibit for the spring 2014 semester, the student-run FORM Gallery presents Can’t Be Tamed by Lauren Webb, February 13-15. Webb, a junior at Hofstra from Truckee, California, is majoring in Rhetoric and minoring in Fine Arts.

Can’t Be Tamed is a collection of Webb’s photography of herds of wild horses in northern Nevada. She says, “Horses are extremely powerful creatures, however, they also have this incredible gentle quality about them. I was intrigued by the slight element of danger involved with photographing them. I enjoy variables I cannot control when shooting.”

The FORM Gallery is located on the first floor of Calkins Hall, South Campus. Admission is free and open to the public. Viewing hours are Monday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. For more information call the Department of Fine Arts Design and Art History at 516-463-5474.
