Dr. Anthony E. Robinson, assistant dean and executive director at the School of Education, is the fund director for two grants from the New York State Education Department.

The first grant of $185,285 was awarded to the Collegiate Science & Technology Entry Program (CSTEP), which supports Hofstra undergraduate and graduate students interested in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or fields that require pre-licensure. The program offers numerous student support services which include tutorial assistance, academic conferences and workshops, advising and a textbook loaner program.

The second grant of $200,000 was awarded to the Teacher/Leader Quality Partnerships Program (TLQP), which aims to improve the academic success of students (Pre-K through grade 5) by improving the quality of teaching through learning experiences.  TLQP facilitates continuous improvement of in-service teachers and administrators, through established learning communities including Hofstra University faculty, in-service teachers, subject-matter coaches, specialists and administrators.
