The Hofstra Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams are excited to announce that the programs will host their annual Hofstra Basketball Media Day on Thursday, October 17.
As part of the exciting day of introducing the coaches and select student-athletes, the Department of Athletics, in conjunction with the Hofstra University Office of Interactive Media, will broadcast the speeches from Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeffrey A. Hathaway, Head Men’s Basketball Coach Joe Mihalich and Head Women’s Basketball Coach Krista Kilburn-Steveskey live via the University’s YouTube Live Channel. The welcome from Hathaway is slated to begin shortly after 12 p.m. and will immediately be followed by the “State of the Program” addresses from Mihalich and Kilburn-Steveskey.
Following the three speeches, Hofstra will host Google Hangouts with the student-athletes in attendance as they give their impressions on the upcoming season. Scheduled to be in attendance from the men’s basketball team are: Stephen Nwaukoni, Moussa Kone, Zeke Upshaw and Chris Jenkins. Representing the women’s basketball team will be: Anma Onyeuku, Annie Payton and Andreana Thomas. The Google Hangouts will start at 1 p.m. with the men’s basketball team, followed by the women’s basketball squad.
It doesn’t end there, though, as WRHU (88.7 FM) will be in attendance and broadcast the opening hour of media day from 12-1 p.m.
Plenty of options are available to watch, listen and follow the exciting day for Hofstra Basketball.

That will be the first of two media days that the men’s and women’s basketball programs will take part in as the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) will host its annual event on Tuesday, October 22 from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, MD.
