The Hofstra University Department of Athletics, in conjunction with the Hofstra Pride Club, hosted the 25th Annual Hofstra Pride Golf Classic and Auction Thursday evening.
The event, which was held at the beautiful Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, NY, honored Catharine and Anthony Perettine ’85 for their outstanding generosity and continued support of the University.
In addition to recognizing Catharine and Anthony Perettine, the evening also saw the second annual Jack Lenz Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award presented to Anthony Mazzarella ’72.
“The Hofstra Pride Golf Classic and Auction continues to be a wonderful and amazing event that helps to support the incredible work of our student-athletes,” commented Hofstra Vice President and Director of Athletics Jeffrey A. Hathaway. “This year we were thrilled to honor Catharine and Anthony Perettine, along with Anthony Mazzarella. All three have been great ambassadors of Hofstra University and its athletic program and we congratulate and thank them for their continued support.”
“I want to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Golf Open,” said Golf Committee Chairman Neil Katz ’88. “It was great to honor the Perretines and Tony Mazzarella, who are all incredible supporters of Hofstra Athletics, and I was excited to see all of the people who came out to enjoy a beautiful day and a fantastic evening!”
