Residential and commuting first-year and transfer students received a warm welcome to Hofstra today, August 29, as Welcome Week festivities began on campus. Students moving into the residential halls were met by Hofstra upperclassmen, who helped move hundreds of boxes, bins and suitcases from cars to dorm rooms.
Hofstra President Stuart Rabinowitz and Vice President for Student Affairs Sandra Johnson visited Stuyvesant Hall and the Netherlands Residential Complex to welcome students and their families to campus.
At 2:45 p.m. President Rabinowitz will deliver an official welcome at the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex (this address can also be viewed on the Hofstra website here). Then parents will say goodbye as students continue on with Welcome Week activities which will continue throughout the Labor Day weekend. For a full itinerary visit the Welcome Week website.
